Organising Costumes (2)

I asked the actress playing the part of the victim to send me photos of some of the dresses that she owns so that we could select an appropriate costume. We knew that we wanted the victim to wear a dress which was of a light colour and made the actress look young, vulnerable and naive.
Here are the options she sent me:

We have decided to go with this dress because it fits the best with our original idea. The lace on the dress will work very well at making the victim appear fragile and weak. The mise-en-scene created with the white dress will also make the character appear pure and innocent.

After discussion with the group we decided that the other dresses were too dark or too colourful. Our back up is the other white dress shown above, however as a group we prefer the dress with the lace.

I have asked the actress playing the part of the victim to wear some pale blue dolly shoes and white frilly socks which she also owns as this will work well with the dress at creating the right image for the character. She will also be wearing blue ribbon in her hair which will add to the innocent quality of the dress.
