Location (6)

Why?
In my opinion, the location and setting for a film is a crucial element as it sets the mood and atmosphere for the film as well as visually aiding the audience in picturing the world of the film. The use of location and setting fits into mise-en-scene which is very important for the both the audience and the plot in order to make it appear like what is happening on screen are real life events and to aid the creative team in creating the world of the film. I believe that the location and setting of the interior of a church helps to create an eerie and ritualistic atmosphere as well as containing aesthetics which will intrigue the audience. The setting and location of a church would really help our idea to come to life visually and would work harmoniously with the plot in creating an intriguing and thrilling opening sequence.
