Feedback on Group Ideas

We have been discussing our ideas in our groups and taking about the logistics of how they are going to work when it comes to filming them as well as some pro's and con's to all of the ideas.

After further discussion we discovered that for my idea for the track Big Yellow Taxi it may be an issue that the song is relatively well known and therefore the audience may have the image of the original artist and the official music video in their heads when watching our music video which would be very unfortunate. The other members of my group also suggested that I should disregard the idea of using an actual car park in the music video as it is too predictable and stereotypical as it is mentioned in the lyrics of the song. I would still like to keep the idea of using a contemporary dance duet in an industrial area to get the contrast between the nature and the industrial state although through disregarding the car park idea we would need to come up with a new location for this part if we were to keep this element.



We also discussed Chris and Evelyn's ideas and realised that both for these are good tracks and would work successfully when making our music video. We discussed the fact that there is a gap in the market for Evelyn's song 'Home' and I really like the intro and the chorus to this song as it is very upbeat and would be very fun and I can imagine all the use of colour and fun elements. Despite the fact that I am not a fan of alternative metal music which is the genre of the idea fro the song 'Scarlet' I think that the idea is good and the song could make a good music video but it does remind me and Evelyn of our thrillers from last year and we would like to work on something different a bit more creative and fun.




Overall, all of our songs would work for the music video which is a good thing as it means that we have three very strong options although it will make it difficult to pick a track in the end.
