Chris has come up with a narrative that goes with the track with focuses on a girl and a guy which have killed someone and are freaking out about what to do with the body. Chris wants to use the colour red and lots of black and white too to show psychopathy as well as an outdoor rain machine.
I think this idea is good although it is not my taste in music in terms of the genre however I think the concept for the video is a good idea. I think that the genre of the music would fit in well with the visual ideas as well as the narrative as an audience who enjoy alternative metal would enjoy the gore, violence and quick and sudden shots. The idea is to out between the narrative and the performance element and use close up camera angles which appear intimidating and frightening for the audience through the use of violence.
I really like the idea of using a rain machine although I'm not sure whether this is going to work practically or fit within the budget. Additionally, when we film our music videos it is going to be very cold and also the use of the water in the rain machine could lead to potential issues with the amount of expensive technology we will have on set.
I also like the fact that the narrative fits in well with the lyrics of the track because the track conveys the idea of bleeding and risking their lives which will fit in nicely with the narrative that Chris has created. I also like the link with the blood, colour red and violence which matches the connotations behind the title 'Scarlet'.
