Dancers Costumes

I have been communicating with the wardrobe mistress at school to try and access costumes for the dancers. We had organised various costumes in terms of the 1920's element and we had finally decided on these black flapper dresses and a sparkly headband. We had then had the struggle of trying to find a suitable costume for the futuristic element as it had to be something practical so that the girls could dance in it but also look good and robotic.

We had looked at some silver sequined dresses for the girls but we discovered that these were too sexual and revealing and they would be difficult to try and hide bras and dance in so we disregarded them.

We had also had a look at some silver dresses with a peplum skirt but we again discovered that these were too tight an restrictive for the girls as they couldn't dance very comfortably in them and so we disregarded them too.

Then I had the idea of using these silver tops that are open at the back and look quite industrial and robotic. The dancers could wear these with black dance shorts and black footless tights and these would look good for the look that we are going for but they also wouldn't be restricting for the dancers and they could move easily in them. Therefore we have opted for this look:

We have also asked Oriana to do a tap section in the video and so we have been trying to decide on a costume for her that would match the futuristic vibe that we are aiming for. She showed me multiple different options but they were either too plain or too sexual. We decided to go for this crackled silver and black top as this matches the costumes that the tree girls will be wearing and it will also go well with the futuristic theme and she will be able to dance in it. Here is a picture of what her costume looked look like for this section:
