I have been in contact with our makeup designer and we have finalised the choices for the makeup.
The idea for the 1920's makeup involves a thin arch for
the eyebrows, the brown smoky eye and a red lip will look perfect in
portraying the era. This makeup is very specific to the era that we are
trying to replicate and I think that this could work very effectively.
The idea for the futuristic element involves doing a colour gradient eye shadow design and white lipstick. After discussion with the makeup artist we have decided to add in some geometric designs to the makeup for the final design.
Unfortunately, we had planned to block out the dancers eyebrows for the futuristic section but Laura has informed me that she has tried this out on a friend and it isn't very effective and looks unprofessional and so she is going to leave the eyebrows natural and instead do some of the geometric designs around the eyes and eyebrows to make up for this.
I think that the ideas that Laura, the makeup artist has come up with are really creative and imaginative and I think that they will work very effectively in portraying a futuristic element.

The materials are all being provided by Laura and so this s very helpful for our budget. The only thing that she needs to do is a patch test to check the girls colours and see if they are allergic to any of the materials that she intends on using.
